We helped an individual that was walking across an intersection which was a four way stop. Our client was almost across the intersection when a driver took off from a stop sign and started to turn left when he stopped watching the road. He looked back during the turn to check on his infant in a car seat. Our client was seriously injured when struck by the vehicle. We were able to show that the safe and prudent driver would have checked on the infant before entering the intersection or waited until after the turn was made.
